Rahima came to Chicago from Pakistan in 2016, and even though she has been here for only one year, she takes her English study very seriously and excels at it. She is originally from Afghanistan, but moved early on to Iran with her husband. They lived in Tehran with her two sons and one daughter, later they moved to Pakistan where they spent twenty years before she had to flee, alone with her children and came to Chicago. She remembers her years in Iran with much happiness. Her favorite activity to do was to go to the library and read poetry by her favorite poet, Hafiz. She would share this activity with her daughter as well.
Her favorite craft to do is crochet, she is so good at it that she can see a picture of a piece and replicate it in a matter of hours.
